My stay at the hotel was a pleasant experience overall. The location was superb, right in the center of all the main attractions, with easy access to public transportation. The rooms, although clean and with a nice view of Waterloo Place, felt a bit cramped. The service was fantastic, with helpful and friendly staff making me feel welcome. However, the dining options were limited and could be improved for a better experience.

I found this hotel perfect for my short stay in Edinburgh. The room was excellent, very clean, and well looked after, meeting our need for a cheap and clean accommodation near the Edinburgh markets. The lack of working air conditioning was a downside, though.

We opted for breakfast elsewhere as the hotel's breakfast box seemed overpriced for what was offered. However, having a nearby newsagent for snacks was convenient.

My stay at the hotel was really pleasant overall. The room had a huge crack in the bathroom sink, but it didn't bother me much as the rest of the room was clean and tidy. Despite facing a busy street like Waterloo St, it was surprisingly quiet, and I couldn't hear any noise from other guests. The location was excellent for exploring Edinburgh, but the room could have been a bit warmer. I would definitely consider returning for another two-night stay.

My stay at this hotel was just what my family of 3 needed. The room, though not massive, was spacious, basic, and really clean, providing everything we required. The service was lovely, especially for navigating the city, although a bit more help with parking would have been appreciated. The location was superb, making it easy to explore attractions, shops, and theaters with ease. The dining options were convenient, with various restaurants nearby to choose from. The facilities were adequate for a comfortable stay.

Travelodge is a cheap and cheerful hotel offering clean and comfortable rooms, although don't expect spectacular views or gourmet dining. The location is its strongest suit, blending seamlessly with the busy street but just a minute away from Calton Hill and Waverley Station. The breakfast options may be basic, but with numerous nearby restaurants, dining is not a problem.

Rooms

The rooms, lacking drawers but adequate for hanging clothes, were clean and comfortable despite being quite claustrophobic. I requested a brighter room and was accommodated.

My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were clean and tidy with a large and comfortable double bed, providing a restful night's sleep after a busy day of sightseeing. However, the room was super small with no mirror near an outlet, and the bathroom size was disappointing with a lack of a socket next to the bed.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean and cozy with unbeatable views, and the staff was incredibly kind, even allowing us an early check-in to avoid lugging luggage around Edinburgh streets. The king-size beds were great, but the edges of the mattresses were quite hard for some reason. The service was outstanding, from helpful and friendly staff who offered to move us to a quieter floor to providing local tips and keeping our luggage on our departure day. The location is superb, right in the heart of Edinburgh and within walking distance of many attractions. The dining options were a bit basic, but this was easily solved with nearby cafes. Overall, a fantastic experience despite minimal dining choices.
